Protocol staff raised a total of £4000 for charity via a dress down Friday charity fund and decided to share the money between four local charities.

Each month our staff donate to a charity fund to allow them to ‘dress down’ every Friday. The charity fund is popular amongst the Protocol staff with every single staff member taking part in the voluntary donation scheme.

Over the last 47 months the pot has been growing and at the end of October we were delighted to learn that it held £4000. Staff nominated 4 local charities that they wanted to see the money split between and the lucky charities were:

  • When You Wish Upon A Star – The donation of £1,356 will be used to send children with life threatening illnesses to Lapland this Christmas.
  • Children’s Ward, Queens Medical Centre – Our donation of £1,178 will be used for earlier diagnosis and improved treatment at the Nottingham Children’s Ward in its more comfortable, enhanced surroundings.
  • Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force – £733 donated by Protocol will be used to pay for equipment for the Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards and also a BTEC in public services.
  • Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force – £733 will go towards new equipment for the Cadets.

We really hope the money makes a difference to the charities that we are supporting but ultimately the people the charities themselves support.
