Lecturer in English

Location: Romford, London

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lecturer in English (LEC-English) to join our team at an FE College in Romford. This role is essential for covering long-term sickness and requires an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in English, including GCSE English.
• Utilize digital tools to enhance the learning experience.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Perform administrative duties related to teaching.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Qualified teacher with one of the following: PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English.
• Ability to teach GCSE English.
• Teaching qualification such as Cert Ed or PGCE.
• Strong digital skills and a passion for teaching.
• Ability to engage learners and provide examples of successful teaching strategies.
• Availability throughout the week.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
• Experience working in an educational establishment.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: Up to 28 hours per week (23 teaching, 5 admin).
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
