Apply nowProtocol are working closely with a Further Education College based in Northamptonshire in their search for an experienced Safeguarding & Wellbeing Assistant.
They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safeguarding & Wellbeing Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, general, and practical support for their students and college.
Hours: 37 hours per week, with potential weekend and evening work as required.
They are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join the Student Welfare and Wellbeing Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support and contribute to a customer-led service, ensuring the smooth operation of our student support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional and efficient administration service for the Student Support Team.
- Offer initial support to students, directing them to appropriate resources within the college and externally.
- Assist with administrative tasks for the Student Support Team, including maintaining and tracking documentation and preparing relevant forms.
- Liaise with feeder schools to obtain safeguarding files at the start of the academic year and transfer relevant information to the college safeguarding system, My Concern, under the guidance of the Safeguarding Manager and Officers.
- Maintain the Staff/Student hub.
- Ensure compliance and enrolment to the college safeguarding system for all new starters.
- Complete administrative tasks related to the My Concern safeguarding system, including the collation and preparation of data.
- Provide support to students with low-level wellbeing concerns, referring them to appropriate internal and external support when necessary.
- Attend wellbeing meetings for students as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar role or environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and systems is an advantage.
