Are you looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment? We are urgently seeking a Lecturer in Production and Performing Arts and Employability.
Position Details:
- Hours: 36 hours per week (23 hours teaching, 13 hours desk duties)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Location: Romford, East London
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach effectively on a range of programmes across the college curriculum, including timetabled lessons, cover, and bespoke provision.
- Prepare and deliver innovative and engaging teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
- Develop and maintain the curriculum area’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and incorporate digital technologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in college events, such as open evenings and promotional activities.
- Contribute to the continuous review and development of the college’s programmes.
- Engage in professional development and scholarly activities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience teaching BTECs in Performing and Production Arts at all levels.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., Certificate in Education or equivalent).
- 2-5 years of recent industry experience in Performing/Production Arts (preferred).
- Experience working in a College/FE College.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
- End Date: 20th December 2024, with a possible extension to February half term 2025.
