Position: Lecturer in Electrical Engineering

Location: Leicestershire-based College

Start Date: January 6th

Duration: Potentially until the end of the academic year

Employment Type: Full-time (work patterns to be discussed at interview)

Salary: £35 – £38 per hour

 

About the Role: We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to join an FE College based in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the T-Level specification, focusing on the electrical installation element of the Construction T-Level. This role involves teaching the first year of the T-Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction (Electrotechnical Engineering).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students.
  • Cover core knowledge areas including Health and Safety, construction science principles, sustainability in the construction industry, and building services engineering systems.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the T-Level specification requirements.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

Requirements:

  • Background in electrical engineering.
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably with knowledge of the T-Level specification.
  • Expertise in electrical installation within the construction industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A Teaching Qualification
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Or be willing to obtain one)

Additional Information:

  • Candidates with experience in teaching electrical engineering or electrical installation at the T-Level are highly desirable.
  • The position is likely to be full-time, with work patterns to be discussed during the interview process.
