About the Role: We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to join an FE College based in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the T-Level specification, focusing on the electrical installation element of the Construction T-Level. This role involves teaching the first year of the T-Level in Building Services Engineering for Construction (Electrotechnical Engineering).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students.
- Cover core knowledge areas including Health and Safety, construction science principles, sustainability in the construction industry, and building services engineering systems.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the T-Level specification requirements.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Requirements:
- Background in electrical engineering.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably with knowledge of the T-Level specification.
- Expertise in electrical installation within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A Teaching Qualification
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Or be willing to obtain one)
Additional Information:
- Candidates with experience in teaching electrical engineering or electrical installation at the T-Level are highly desirable.
- The position is likely to be full-time, with work patterns to be discussed during the interview process.
