Job Title: Travel and Tourism Lecturer

Location: Cambridge-based College

Salary: £20 – £25 per hour (Inclusive of Statutory Holiday Pay)

Contract Type: Temporary ongoing (Could potentially be permanent for the right candidate)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Lecturer in Travel and Tourism to join a Cambridge-based FE College. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and dynamic teaching across pathways from Levels 1 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspirational teaching and learning sessions
  • Undertake necessary administrative tasks for effective programme operation.
  • Carry out moderation, assessment, and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
  • Act as a course tutor and personal tutor, supporting learners in achieving their targets.
  • Track and review student progress, maintaining records using ProMonitor and other internal systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and participate in course team reviews and evaluations.
  • Adhere to college policies, including those related to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, and data protection.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Right To Work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the updated Service
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualifications or industry experience.
  • Full teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLS).
  • An Assessors Qualification
  • Experience teaching and assessing in the Travel and Tourism sector.
  • Proven ability to plan and develop activities and residentials.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
