Job Title: Construction Multiskills Lecturer

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire-based College

Contract Type: Temporary ongoing (Long Term Sick Cover)

Salary: £25 – £30 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week 

 

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Construction (Multiskills) to join a College based in Cambridgeshire. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of construction trades, contributing to course design and development. This role involves teaching, assessment, and tutorial responsibilities, with a focus on inspiring learners of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in Brickwork and Construction Multiskills
  • Track and review student progress, providing feedback to students.
  • Maintain professional development and industry links.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Construction (Bricklaying qualifications desirable).
  • Certificate in Education/PGCE/DTLLS/DET.
  • Substantial, recent industrial experience in Construction Maintenance.
  • Recent lecturing, instructing, or training experience.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Flexible and responsive to change.
