The role.
As a Lecturer in Games Development with us, you will teach across all Higher Education provision while also contributing to our Further Education courses. You’ll work with the Curriculum Managers to further develop the Games Development courses. The Games provision is currently delivered in our open plan studio, offering a professional design environment for both our students and staff. Courses to deliver include:
- FdA Indie Game Development – Students begin to hone their craft while exploring a variety of game development pipelines.
- BA Hons Indie Game Development (Top Up) – Students learn to apply their skills with a more business-oriented focus.
Modules to be delivered include User Experience Design/User Experience Creation, Game Design , Game Prototyping/Game Programming, Asset Creation, Game Production/Development, Game Marketing, Post-Production, Game Company
The person.
- You will hold a Degree/master’s in games development, as well as GCSE A* – C / 9 – 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Knowledge and practice of using game development workflows individually or as a team.
- A working knowledge of C# programming (or willingness to upskill in this area) would be a distinct advantage.
- An understanding of the business requirements within a Game Development setting, including all aspects of company logistics
