Position: Lecturer in Construction Design Management (CDM)
Location: Romford
Course: L3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
Schedule: 2 days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays)
Duration: End of the Academic Year
Role Overview: Protocol are working with an FE ccollege who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Construction Design Management (CDM) to join their team in Romford. This role involves teaching the L3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment, a Gold Standard offering for students aged 16-18, which has now been replaced by the T-Level in Construction Design Management. The successful candidate will provide coverage for 2 days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) to guide 7 students to the conclusion of their studies this summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in Construction Design Management.
- Support and mentor students to achieve their academic goals and successfully complete the course.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards.
- Promote and adhere to the college’s policies on safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Design Management or a related field.
- Experience in teaching or lecturing at the Further Education level.
- Strong knowledge of the L3 Extended Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
