Job Title: GCSE English/ Functional Skills English Lecturer

Job Type: Temporary Ongoing 

Hours: 35 hours per week – 24 teaching hours

Salary: £27 per hour + Holiday pay

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and qualified English teacher to join our team. Whether you are an experienced educator or a recent graduate with a passion for teaching, we welcome applicants who are committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that enable students to reach their full potential.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Design and implement a flexible curriculum, including GCSE and Functional Skills courses.
• Act as a positive role model, inspiring students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous professional development.
• Set high expectations and work collaboratively with the team to maintain the institution’s vision and drive for excellence.

Ideal Candidate:

• A relevant degree and a recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 5).
• Experience in the Further Education sector is desirable, but not essential.
• A commitment to inclusion, ambition for student success, and integrity in all professional conduct.
• Hold Enhanced DBS on the update service
