£13-15 per hour including statutory holiday pay.
- Support curriculum staff, as directed by the Curriculum Lead and in line with delivery needs of the department, with the supervision of learners and learner groups (including assessment) at levels appropriate to his/her qualifications and experience in workshops and other practical specialist teaching areas at any location where the College conducts its business.
- Prepare and machine rough sawn timber to service curriculum with sectional sized timber.
- Set up and use a range of woodworking machines – Rip saw, Crosscut saw, Surface planer etc.
- Provide appropriate pre and on-course guidance to support learners through to successful completion (support could be one to one or to a group)
- Undertake all necessary planning, preparation and assessment to satisfy external body requirements.
- Undertakes all necessary administrative tasks associated with learner attendance, record keeping and reporting.
- As a member of relevant team(s), attend team meetings and contribute to quality assurance systems and procedures including review and evaluation.
- Contribute to appropriate curriculum development initiatives, evaluation of courses and course materials.
Qualifications & Experience.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
- Recent experience of working in the construction industry.
- Ability to receive and distribute materials, tools and equipment.
- Ability to conduct walk round safety inspections.
- Must hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
