Job Duties:

Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Carpentry & Joinery to ensure learners achieve their full potential.

Contribute towards a high-quality pre-entry and initial assessment process to ensure that learners’ needs are met.

Provide high-quality pastoral and supportive care for students throughout their learner journey.

Offer effective guidance to students to support their progression into higher learning or employment.

Oversee the needs and progress of all students with an EHCP or ALS need enrolled on relevant courses/programmes.

Work effectively within teams to develop, review, and maintain study programmes, ensuring the sharing of good practice.

Ensure quality files and course/programme team information on platforms such as SharePoint are maintained to support teamwork and reduce workload.

Ensure schemes of learning and lesson planning align with college policies and best practices.

Celebrate and promote staff and student success within the college, fostering a culture of excellence and recognition.
Required Qualifications:
-
Level 5 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or a related field.

A recognised Teaching Qualification.
-
Experience working in the Carpentry & Joinery sector.
-
Experience Lecturing at FE level.
