Subject: GCSE Biology & Chemistry and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science
Salary: £25 – £28 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology & Chemistry Lecturer to join an FE College based in Leicestershire. This full-time, temporary position involves delivering high-quality GCSE Biology & Chemistry and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science courses. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students, fostering a love for biology and scientific inquiry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures on GCSE Biology & Chemistry and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science topics.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject area and incorporate current scientific developments into teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in departmental meetings.
• Support students in their academic and personal development, offering guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry or a related field (required).
• Master’s degree or PhD in Biology or Chemistry or a related field (preferred).
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent experience.
• Experience teaching A Level Biology or Chemistry and/or Applied Science courses.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
