The Protocol Group are working in partnership with a Further Education College who are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic Finance Team. This pivotal role involves working closely with budget holders and commercial managers to provide financial guidance and support. You will assist in managing the college’s budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes while ensuring accurate and timely financial data is available to inform decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing variance analysis and key performance information.

Collaborating with departmental managers to assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Offering strategic financial advice to support operational and strategic decisions made by the Senior Leadership Team.

Monitoring financial performance across various departments and helping to implement financial control measures.

Supporting financial planning and analysis, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with college objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

A part-qualified or qualified accounting qualification (CCAB or AAT).

Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the college and provide clear financial insights.

Experience in working with senior leaders to inform business strategy.

Previous experience in Further or Higher Education finance is desirable but not essential.
