Aviation Lecturer, South Yorkshire

Aviation Lecturer – Full Time (37 hours per week, all year round)
Location: Rotherham College, South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £32,199 per annum or £25-£28 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Temporary Maternity Cover until 30th June 2026

About the Role.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced aviation industry professional to transition into teaching and share your expertise with the next generation of aviation specialists. We are seeking an enthusiastic Aviation Lecturer to join an FE College based in Rotherham.  As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment that equips students with the technical skills needed to succeed in the aviation industry.

Your role will focus on motivating students, monitoring their progress, and ensuring their academic and practical achievements. You’ll be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum, tracking student success, and helping guide students towards their future career paths. Additionally, you’ll build valuable industry links that enhance student learning and provide them with real-world work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, industry-relevant lessons to students in the aviation sector
• Monitor and track learner progress to ensure positive outcomes
• Support students in their learning, providing career guidance and progression routes
• Develop and maintain industry links for work experience and enrichment opportunities

Key Requirements:

• Vocational qualification at Level 3 or above in aviation or a related field
• Industry experience in aviation
• A relevant teaching qualification and Assessor Award, or willingness to work towards these qualifications
