Are you passionate about supporting students in their learning journey and making a real impact on their future? An established and reputable college based in Bath is looking for a dedicated and inspiring Foundation Lecturer to join their dynamic team.
Salary: £24,800 – £30,400 (£31,000 – £38,000 FTE)
Location: Bath
Contract: 4 days a week, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
As a Foundation Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons to Entry Level 1, 2, and 3 students in English, Maths, and Employability. Your ability to motivate and support learners will be central to helping them achieve their academic goals and improve their life skills. You will also work closely with a supportive team of educators to enhance the learning experience for students at different stages of their development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, student-centered lessons in English, Math’s, and Employability at Entry Level 1, 2, and 3.
- Support and guide learners with a range of abilities and backgrounds, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid their development.
- Contribute to the planning, preparation, and evaluation of lessons and courses.
- Participate in student progress meetings and maintain accurate records of learners’ achievements.
- Promote positive student behavior and create a motivating, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching or supporting learners at Entry Level in English, Math’s, and Employability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with diverse student groups.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
- A flexible approach and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
