Lecturer in Foundation ESOL (Hourly Paid)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay Rate: £26 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract Type: Hourly paid, part-time and flexible hours available

The Protocol Group are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education college in the Stoke-on-Trent area to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer in Foundation ESOL.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team, supporting learners from diverse backgrounds to develop their English language skills and progress in education, work, and life.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective ESOL teaching sessions across a range of levels. You will contribute to curriculum planning, support learner progress, and help ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality ESOL teaching to a range of learners

• Develop and prepare lesson materials and assessments

• Support students’ personal and academic development

• Use digital platforms to enhance learning

• Participate in quality assurance processes and team meetings

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, CET or equivalent) or willingness to achieve one

• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area

• Experience teaching ESOL to learners of mixed abilities and backgrounds

• Strong communication, planning, and organisational skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality and diversity

Desirable:

• Level 4 Certificate for ESOL Subject Specialists (or currently studying)

• Familiarity with recent developments in education and the FE sector
