Protocol is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established college based in Wigan to recruit for a Student Liaison Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team, making a real difference to the student experience.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in promoting student engagement, supporting well-being, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for students needing advice, guidance, or pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a first-line contact for student support, offering advice and guidance on a wide range of personal and academic matters.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure student well-being.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, and engagement, supporting students to stay on track and reach their potential.
- Promote positive student involvement through events, initiatives, and enrichment activities.
- Champion student voice and inclusion across the campus community.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a student-facing role, ideally within education or youth work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting young people.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and student welfare (training can be provided).
