Early Years Assessor
FE College based in Doncaster
Temporary (Ongoing, reviewed termly)

£23.00 – £25.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: 35.5 per week
(Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm, Friday 8:30am–4:00pm, with 1 hour flexi across the week)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Early Years Assessor to join an FE College based in Doncaster. This is a temporary ongoing role, reviewed each term, with an immediate start available. In this role, you will support and assess learners working towards Early Years qualifications, ensuring they are progressing in line with their learning plans and industry standards. You will work closely with learners, employers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, supportive assessment and guidance throughout the apprenticeship journey.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality assessment and review sessions for learners in Early Years settings.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to help them meet required standards.
  • Support learners with evidence collection and portfolio building.
  • Conduct workplace visits and liaise with employers to support learner development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with internal processes and awarding body requirements.
  • Ensure learners meet apprenticeship and qualification outcomes in a timely manner.

 

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised Assessor qualification
  • Recent and relevant experience working in or assessing within the Early Years sector.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years frameworks and apprenticeship standards.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and work independently while meeting deadlines.
